Without the truecaller app installed on your phone you can still find out who the owner of that new number on your missed call list is.
Here is a simple guide on how to find out. The beauty of using this method is that, you can even check numbers that called you on your small feature phone.

First goto http://www.truecaller.com on any browser. Sign-in with your Google account. This will grant you access to use the number lookup feature on the website.
Type the number in the text field and hit the search icon when you are done. The name, email address and social media accounts for the owner of the number should be displayed if found.
