Nigerian states and their percentage active internet users

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) the following is a list of states and their share of the total active internet users in Nigeria for the first half of 2017

The top 14 states are:

  • Lagos - 12.82%

  • Ogun - 6.01

  • Oyo - 5.28

  • Kano - 4.75

  • FCT - 4.65

  • Kaduna - 4.54

  • Rivers - 4.19

  • Delta - 3.46

  • Niger - 3.44

  • Edo - 3.18

  • Anambra - 2.84

  • Benue - 2.54

  • Kwara 2.24

  • Nasarawa - 2.28


  • While the 9 states with the least internet connectivity are:
  • Borno - 1.47

  • Kebbi - 1.28

  • Taraba - 1.14

  • Jigawa - 1.08

  • Zamfara - 0.92

  • Ekiti - 0.91

  • Ebonyi - 0.82

  • Yobe - 0.78

  • Bayelsa - 0.74

  • The data shows that Nigeria has about 92,136,023 internet users and is also 8th in global internet usage, ahead of Germany, UK and South Korea.

    And I was thinking Nigeria will be at the no 1 spot

    LoL, we ranked 8th, 1st in Africa and ahead of Samsung's home country South Korea and BMW's Germany!:D
