Manchester 5 - 0 Liverpool [fulltime]

Sep 09 2017 at 01:11pm

Gabriel Jesus netted a double after Sergio Aguero had given Manchester City the lead to to put 10-man Liverpool in deep trouble at the Etihad Stadium.

The strike duo both converted quality balls from Kevin De Bruyne to ease Manchester City into a comfortable lead.

Sadio Mane was sent off before half time after clattering into City keeper Ederson as he chased a through ball. Liverpool fans were absolutely furious with the decision, and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville questioned Jon Moss showing the red card too.

Aguero opened the scoring when he rounded Simon Mignolet and slide into an open goal - the goal made the Argentine the highest scoring non-European in Premier League history.

Jesus then doubled the lead in stoppage time of the first half as he headed in unmarked in the box.

The Brazilian then combined with his South American strike partner to add a third.
