The short vowel has the sound /â/, whenever the vowel is followed and/or ends in consonant (b, c, d, f, g, k, t, etc).

IMPORTANT: When a vowel is in the begining of the word without E at the end, it usually has the short sound. Like US âzz. If it was USE iuzz it would be a long vowel sound.
