RAM, Processor and VGA card (what you need to know before you increase RAM)

Jan 23 2015 at 06:31am

Is you pc slow? Or latest games lag(slow) on your pc? You think adding extra RAM(main memory) is the best medicine? Read through this post before you make that move.
-if your computer lags at basic tasks like launching a program, typing a document, copy and paste jobs and boot time upgrading the RAM is a good medicine when you have 2gb or less RAM and a minimum of 1.3ghz dual core processor. Upgrading to 4gb RAM will give a great boost in performance. and stay away from old AMD processors (I can't tell if the new ones are over slow performance and heating) but Intel processors will always give you better performance.
-for gamers if you have a system that performs well in basic tasks like text editing, video playback and Web surfing but sucks at gaming upgrading RAM won't help much too as Gaming performance depends very little on your RAM. A good gaming pc comes with a dedicated video (VGA) card! And a VRam (video ram). More ram won't improve gaming much but more vram will so when shopping for your next pc search for something with a good video card.
