first, how to detect scam online: buying illegal items/services can make you a victim sometimes. But other times u might be searching for a hand on something like building a website or a mobile app and end up being scammed. A scammer has little knowledge of the services he is selling. If you can research well on what you want ask him questions and see how he handles them.
