Okay so this is probably old news but I dont like posting stuff until I've tested it myself. This is my experience with the Airtel free 4gb on 4G devices bonus.

Like I mentioned it only works on 4G enabled smartphones and also in areas with Airtel 4G coverage. Use google to get a list of these areas. You could also check if your device is 4G enabled on Airtel by dialing *121#.

Now After you must have confirmed that you are eligible for this offer, you can proceed to an Airtel shop near you and grab a 4G sim then register.
After registration, recharge 100 naira and make a phone call (at least that's what I was told to do).

When I did all these and didnt get my 4gb immediately I was worried but eventually I discovered that it was necessary to turn on the mobile data in 4G mode first. And you can also only access the data when there is 4G network.

One more thing is that the data only lasts for a week so my advice is that you should do this when you really need to download a large file or something important.
I hope you enjoy it. A new Sim also have some other benefits but I haven't tested that yet. You can also upgrade your old sim to enjoy this offer.
